THE PERFECT TREAT ANY TIME!
When I was little, Grandpa used to take my brother and me out on adventures. We were never sad that Mom and Dad wanted to go somewhere without us because on the occasions they did, we got to hang out with Grandpa, and that was like having a party. Grandpa was fun. He loved to go to the arcade and race go-carts with us. He made us crazy bubble-making contraptions and he always took us for milkshakes and root beer floats.
Grandpa also invented a fun game that he called “Hit the Brother.” See, my brother is a bit older than me. Grandpa would fill up a laundry basket with all our clean socks (Mom would roll them into balls in our sock drawers) and we’d take turns lobbing these sock balls at my brother who gleefully ran back and forth in our den, trying to avoid being hit by socks. Grandpa would pretend to miss a lot but would get my brother good a couple of times. And because we used socks, no one was ever hurt. At my young age though, my aim was terrible so Grandpa would remind my brother to slow down so I could pelt him. After that, Grandpa would usually share his soft caramel candies with us. Whenever I see soft, creamy caramels, I think of my wonderful Grandpa. When I found this recipe, I knew I had to try these and I am telling you these are going on my holiday gift giving list. They are amazing! Let’s go to the next page (click the Next button below) to discover how to make these Creamy Caramels.
