RISE TO THE OCCASION!
Nearby our home, there’s a lovely café with pretty pastries and breakfast breads. While I can make my own delicious things, sometimes it’s nice to slip away and enjoy a treat that I didn’t have to slave over and get a chance to read and sip some coffee in peace. My husband had gone on a big business trip and it left me feeling very frazzled. To help me recharge, my husband told me over the weekend not only to sleep in but to also do anything I wanted all day long. He’d play with the kids all day. Not wanting to miss a moment of my free pass (or give him a chance to change his mind), I bolted out the door.
I went shopping and tried things on without having to instruct the small people with me not to peep under the partition. I ate lunch with a friend and was able to have a conversation without being constantly interrupted by tattling. I got a massage. Oh and I started it all at that café. Now that I’m refreshed (thank you, Honey!) I got busy looking for a recipe that was similar to the thing that always has me smitten at the café. It’s a cranberry bread, but this swirl one caught my eye and I decided I had to go all out on this one. Spoiler alert: WORTH IT. Let’s go to the next page (click the Next button below) to discover how to make this Cranberry Swirl Loaf.
