THIS PIE PROVES WINNING IS EVERYTHING!
But winning doesn’t come easy. You’ve got to work hard to be a winner sometimes and let me just tell you that it certainly does pay off. Why am I telling you this? Oh, well, to be a winner here, you need to make your own crust. Out of vanilla wafers and pecans. Of course, you can cut corners and use a pre-made crust, but if you want to experience the winning recipe in all its glory, you should make the crust yourself.
The filling is a mixture made of mostly cream cheese and whipped cream. Aside from being sweetened with sugar, it’s got a bit of orange liqueur added to it. Don’t skip that. Any recipe that calls for the addition of liqueur is a keeper. Plus, you can enjoy some of it for yourself while you’re baking. That’s a win-win right there. When it comes to the raspberries, you can easily use fresh or frozen here. That’s what’s nice about this recipe. You can make it even when raspberries aren’t in season. And that’s another win for the pie!
