IF YOU’VE GOT 15 MINUTES, YOU’VE GOT CHURROS!
I think the last time I had a churro was at Disney World because I couldn’t escape my kids’ begging there. Besides, you have to splurge when you’re on vacation. But with this baked version, you can splurge all you want. Quick, easy and delicious. I love recipes like this! This recipe uses puff pastry sheets. You’ll cut them in half lengthwise and then cut each of those halves crosswise so they form strips that are about 1-inch thick. You’ll line your baking sheet with parchment paper AND you also need to grease it before you put the pastry strips on there.
Bake them until they’re golden brown. While they bake, mix the cinnamon and sugar together. When the pastry has turned golden, remove from oven, dip into the melted butter and roll in your mixture of cinnamon and sugar. You’ll want to set these to dry for about 5 minutes on your wire rack. Then you can eat them as-is, serve them with hot fudge to dip in, or even put a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a bowl and surround with churros and hot fudge. Oh yes!
I found this simply sweet recipe on the Six Sisters’ Stuff blog. Click the link below to see the blog and full recipe for these Cinnamon Sugar Churros.
