TOO EASY TO RESIST!
Now this one is indeed similar to the most recent cinnamon roll cake recipe I reviewed. But there are some subtle differences between them. As always, it can be a matter of preference. You might like one recipe over the other while someone else may respectfully disagree. For me, I liked them both but this one might just come out a teensy bit ahead because of the swirling.
I love a good marbled-look to a cake. It is so easy to do yet it adds that something extra. It seems to baffle my husband and children who think I’ve performed some sort of sorcery on it to get it to appear that way. Let’s let them keep their illusion, shall we? So it goes like this: make the batter, add the melted butter to the batter. Pour the batter in your pan. Make the topping. Evenly distribute the topping on top. Use a knife to swirl the topping into the batter, creating those wicked-cool patterns. Bake. Make the glaze and pour it on the cake while it’s still warm. No magic wand needed. Don’t forget if you’re not happy with the consistency of the glaze, adjust it by playing with the amount of milk. Less milk will give you a thicker glaze while more milk will make it thinner.
I found this unbeatable recipe on the Lil’ Luna blog. Click the link below to see the blog and full recipe for this Cinnamon Roll Cake.
