SUPER SIMPLE. SUPER DELICIOUS!
Again, I know that mayonnaise is an unusual ingredient. But remember, people thought that way about sour cream ages ago and look what it does for cakes and other desserts, right? So please, try this. You won’t be sorry.
You’ll mix the water, mayo and vanilla until well blended. The dry ingredients get blended together on their own first and then you’ll combine them slowly, beating well until everything is well-blended. You’ll pour it into your greased baking pan, bake it and then cool it.
The frosting is made while the cake cools. Bubble up the brown sugar and butter in your saucepan. After you take it off the burner, add your milk and then the confectioner’s sugar until it’s nice and smooth. Frost away. When you serve it, watch as everyone fawns all over it. Then tell them what the secret ingredient is. They’ll be begging for the recipe immediately.
