CHEERY CHERRY FLAVOR!
Did you know that Jell-O is awesome to add into recipes to give it the flavor you want? If not, now you know! That’s how these cookies get such a big cherry flavor, from cherry Jell-O! What I didn’t know is you can use it to flavor milkshakes though. The original poster suggests this and so I think I’d better go give that a whirl. But first, let me tell you more about these cookies. The Jell-O gives it that cherry flavor and color while the pudding gives it a soft white chocolate texture and flavor.
It takes 2 bowls – one for the butter, sugar, Jell-O, eggs and vanilla. In the other, the flour, pudding mix, baking soda, and salt. Then, the 2 bowls get combined. Once that happens, the white chocolate chips get folded in. Then you spoon them onto your parchment paper-lined baking sheet and bake. My kitchen smelled SO good while that was happening. My husband was out in the yard and when he came back in, the cookies were done and cooled, waiting for him. I served him on a heart-shaped plate and let’s just say he was very thankful for his sweet cherry-flavored treat.
I found this colorful recipe on the Chocolate, Chocolate and More blog. Click the link below to see the blog and full recipe for these Cherry White Chocolate Pudding Cookies.
