CARROT CAKE TO GO!
You know what’s funny? Well, lots of things. But I mean what’s funny about living abroad, particularly in Asia…they don’t do drive-thru. They have fast food restaurants but drive-thru windows are very rare. There was one I saw for a KFC in China but KFC is so popular there that it’s on almost every corner and I only ever saw one with a drive-thru the whole time I was there. They just don’t do fast food like we do. Americans like to take things on the go. Look around you next time you’re in the car. Fun game for the kids to play. Count how many people are driving and eating. You’ll be surprised.
We’re a nation of portable people. Sometimes I’m guilty of this too. I’ll be running around shuttling the family everywhere, errands and all that jazz and I’ll realize I haven’t eaten a thing all day. I’ll have no time to stop and I’ll have to drive-thru somewhere to get something before I waste away.
