AND EXTRA STICKY!
Pay attention to the directions because if you’re too sleepy, you might just miss something. Like the milk. You need to heat it to 120 degrees. But with the butter, when you stir that in you don’t have to worry about it melting. Making this dough will definitely keep you busy and you’ll need to allow time for it to double in size after you mix it. You’ll need to let the dough rise yet again after you slice it into rolls. A handy tip here is that if you really don’t want to be doing this early in the morning (I get it…I’m not a morning person either), you could make this at night and refrigerate it for baking in the morning after you complete this step.
One more big warning for you on these: the caramel is hotter than lava out of a volcano. Be extra careful when you remove them from the pan. And no matter how you’re your family nags and pesters, allow these to sit and cool for 5 minutes before you serve them or that hot caramel will burn their hands and their mouths, which will make these memorable in a not-so-happy way. Go with the happy, my friends.
