THIS MAKES IT EASY TO KEEP YOUR COOL!
Here’s a dessert that delivers on flavor and ease. It’s definitely one for family dinners on those hot summer nights. You’ll make a crust from flour, oats, pecan, brown sugar and butter. Make sure you mix it well and then you’ll bake it in a thin layer. You need to stir it a little from time to time and then crumble it while it’s warm.
Now for the fun! Layer half of the crumbs into your dish. Then use half the caramel sauce on top of that. Then spread the softened ice cream on top of that. By the way, you could use a different ice cream flavor besides vanilla here. Why not? Chocolate would be great or even chocolate chip.
On top of the ice cream, add the rest of the caramel sauce followed by the remainder of the crumb mixture. Put it in the freezer and forget about it (or try to at least) until it is firm. You’ll want to leave it in there right up until about 10 minutes prior to serving.
