GLORIOUSLY GOOEY!
What’s great about this recipe is you let your slow cooker do all the hard work. All you need to do is get everything ready. In regards to the bread, you’ll need it to be about a day old. Go to the bakery at your supermarket and look for something fresh-baked. Good thick sliced bread really works best.
Grease up your slow cooker and add the bread, pecans and butterscotch chips to it. Then you’ll whisk your eggs, cream, brown sugar, melted butter and vanilla in another bowl. Once it’s well-blended, pour it over the bread mixture and stir carefully to combine everything. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours. When it’s done a knife inserted in the center should come out clean. Serve it warm with plenty of that butterscotch topping you’d use on ice cream and whipped cream. It’s such a cozy and delightful treat any time of year, but when it’s cold out again, I’m totally making this one again too.
