FARM HOUSE FRESH!
Every time I see buttermilk, I think of farms. Maybe I’m just weird. Ok, I’m definitely weird, but I’m not sure if that is the thing that makes me weird or just adds to it. Have you ever been to a farm? It’s interesting. My favorite cousin LOVES cows and loves going to the farm. Naturally, she dragged me once. ONCE. I have a great appreciation for what farmers do there on their farms. Whether cultivating crops or raising livestock, these people work even harder than you think they do.
Milking cows is, yeah, it’s just not for me. My cousin made me try out everything on the farm and I think that was my least favorite. Incidentally, my favorite was throwing food to the pigs. Boy do they smell but they were kind of cute. Oh and petting the horses. I liked them too. I’ll leave the milking to the farm folk and I’ll happily buy their wares from the supermarket. This recipe is for a buttermilk banana bread and it really and truly tastes like it is fresh from the farm. I might not like being on a farm, but I am all for the tastes of the farm any day!
