A PERFECTLY TASTEFUL DESSERT!
This is such an easy cake that looks simply elegant. While it’s not for a formal occasion, it is perfect for a picnic or an informal dinner. You’ll toast your pecans in butter first. Then you’ll make your batter. Some of that batter will get to have your toasted pecans. Next, you’ll get your batter into your three greased and floured 9-in. round baking pans. The cakes bake up fast too. They should be done within 25 to 30 minutes. Let them cool 10 minutes in the pan before popping them out onto wire racks for the remainder of the cooling.
Then you’ll get that frosting ready. Those toasted pecans will be the last thing you add to it. You want that frosting nice and smooth first. You’ll spread it all over the first layer and then layer the next layer on top and continue until you have all 3 layers stacked and frosted on the tops and sides. Garnish the top with toasted pecans for an extra bit of pizzazz.
