THE BEST ICE CREAM FLAVOR IN CAKE FORM!
Okay, most of the time I post stuff that isn’t too hard. Some of the recipes I find are so simple and easy to delight everyone with. A little more rarely though, I post something like a giant layer cake that takes some patience and work to put together. And other times I find something that looks impossible but when you look at the recipe, you see that it’s impossibly easy.
This is one of those. It is SO easy. And it looks gorgeous! It looks as good as any big fancy cake I’ve ever made. I actually read the recipe 3 times because I thought maybe I was tired and skipping something. Nope. It’s just that easy. Sure, it’s fun to go all out sometimes, but other times, we just don’t have the time or energy to devote to something like that. And when that’s the case, this is the kind of cake you need to rely on. This butter pecan cake tastes like the classic old ice cream. Which reminds me of my grandparents. In the summer, when we’d go to the ice cream shop, they always got butter pecan and I always got something chocolaty. But I had to taste theirs too because I was a kid and kids will always steal your ice cream away like little ice cream gnomes.
