8-INGREDIENT CROWNIES, COMING RIGHT UP!
There is just one eensy-weensy downside to these…you’ll need to chill the dough for a minimum of 2 hours. Oh I know! I hate having to chill dough and wait for cookies, but I promise these are worth it. Do yourself a favor and get it together the night before you plan to make these. Making the dough takes no time at all. You’ll melt the butter and then whisk in some of the cocoa until that mixture turns smooth. Then you’ll let it cool.
While that cools, you’ll mix the flour, the rest of the cocoa, baking powder and salt. No need to go crazy but just get it blended. Now take another bowl and mix your cocoa and butter mixture that has no cooled with sugar and eggs. And then you’ll add the flour mixture. Make sure it all gets mixed together very well before mixing in those chocolate chips. At this point, you will chill the dough. Baking of course is easy, but nothing is easier than eating these. Of course, patience pays. Make sure to let them cool or else you’ll burn your mouth. Ouch!
