TAKE YOUR TIME!
You can’t hurry love, and you can’t hurry these. I know, I know. You’ll desperately want to but it will take you about an hour and a half to make them. That’s why those canisters of pre-made cinnamon rolls always sell so well. It’s hard to make time for these, but you really, REALLY should. Unless you really like getting up early in the morning, get your dough ready the night before. It will speed up the process for you in the morning. This recipe also makes more than enough dough. You can store it for later use or make 2 batches of these (great if you have company) or use it to make rolls for your dinner later. The possibilities are endless.
When you roll out the dough, make sure your surface is well-floured or you will have a sticky, messy hellish situation on your hands. Roll it extra thin and then spread melted butter on it, followed by the lemon-sugar mixture. Then add your blueberries. Roll it up and then slice. And then go have some more coffee because you need to let them rise AGAIN. But soon, it will all be worth it. They’ll bake up and you’ll make the icing and you’ll pour it all over the tops and when everyone plops down at the breakfast table, you will be the kitchen hero. Yessssss!
I found this gooey recipe on the Pioneer Woman blog. Click the link below to see the blog and full recipe for these Blueberry Lemon Sweet Rolls.
