IT’S BISQUICK-QUICK!
The biscuit mix makes these happen a whole lot faster. The recipe calls for using buttermilk though so if you don’t happen to have that around, you can always make some using regular milk and lemon or vinegar. The measurement needs to be for every cup of milk, you’ll use 1 or 2 tablespoons of either lemon or vinegar. The dough for this is REALLY sticky. So do yourself a giant favor and make sure to flour your working area REALLY well or you are going to be cursing worse than Yosemite Sam as you try to de-dough-ify yourself and your surroundings.
Also, I learned a cool trick from the original poster of this recipe. She said she used dental floss to slice the rolled up dough into the cinnamon rolls. OMG. Genius! It worked like a charm and is something I’ll be doing from now on. But you should know that it’s best to use the non-flavored dental floss. When these are done, top them with the frosting for the grand finale and after letting them cool for just a few minutes, dig in!
I found this just-like-mom’s recipe from Chocolate, Chocolate and More blog. Click the link below to see the site and full recipe for these Bisquick Cinnamon Rolls.
