CANDY BAR TOPPINGS GALORE!
This is an easy cake to make for company in a pinch. It’s delicious, fast and fun. Of course, my kids were very upset because I wouldn’t allow them to enjoy any at first. They had to earn the privilege. I think they learned their lesson. A box mix makes this cake so easy. You make it according to what the box tells you to do. You’ll let it cool a few minutes and then poke some holes in the cake. And then the magic happens.
Pour the sweetened condensed milk on top very slowly so that it sinks into the holes and really gets down in there. Then you’ll do the same with the caramel
Slowly pour sweetened condensed milk over the cake, letting it sink into the holes; then drizzle some of the caramel over the top of the cake.
Now comes a test of patience. You’ll have to let it cool completely. Popping it in the fridge helps. When it’s cool, spread whipped topping on top and then you can top it with chunks of your favorite candy bar. Since I was stuck with a few different kinds, it made it pretty interesting. You can choose one kind of candy bar or several different kinds. Live it up, I always say. Drizzle chocolate fudge and caramel topping on top of that and then refrigerate even longer. It’s worth it, I promise!
