BEAT THE HEAT WITH THIS TREAT!
This is such a fabulous dessert in that it is easy to make, tastes great and even if you don’t have a giant crowd coming over you can make it for your little family and keep it in the freezer to enjoy over the course of several desserts. Make some graham cracker crumbs by using your food processor, then mix those crumbs with melted butter. You’ll set some aside while pressing the rest of it into your pan. You’ll slice the bananas and layer it on your crust. Then you’ll cut your ice cream widthwise to form 10 slices and top this over the bananas, making sure to cover the bananas and create a smooth layer.
If you want, you can sprinkle with nuts. I personally omitted them. I’m not such a fan of nuts in my ice cream. Nuts or not, freeze this until it’s firm. Then you’ll melt your chocolate chips and butter until it’s smooth and pour on the ice cream. Again, freeze until firm. You’ll whip your cream until it forms soft peaks and then spread it on the chocolate layer. Finish it off with the remaining crumbs and then stick it in the freezer. To make serving this easier, take it out about 10 minutes before so you can cut into it. Don’t let it sit out too long or it will melt!
