A RECIPE WITHIN A RECIPE!
Now while there’s nothing too hard about this, you should know that there are several recipes within this. This dessert calls for vanilla pastry cream. You’ll need to make that yourself as per the directions. While not hard, you’ll need to organize your shopping list in order to make it unless you have all the ingredients on hand. I didn’t, and if I didn’t, chances are you won’t either. Now you COULD cheat and buy ready-made vanilla pastry cream. Nothing’s stopping you there. But of course, homemade tastes the best. You’ll need to make the graham cracker crumble too. That’s way easy. And you’ll need to assemble this whole thing together. Again, easy!
By the by, you’ll need caramel sauce for this. The better quality you use, the better this will taste. You can also use Dulce de Leche if you have it. That works too. That’s what I did because I just wasn’t in the mood to make my own caramel sauce. That’s my only complaint about this recipe. The original poster tells you how to make everything else but doesn’t offer a recipe for caramel sauce, leaving you to find one of your own or go with store bought. In the end the recipe is wonderful and makes for a perfect finish to your fabulous meal.
