SIMPLY IRRESISTIBLE!
I love this recipe! It’s so sweet without being overwhelming and the flavor of bananas can’t be beat. An added bonus of cooking with bananas means you’ll have a nice dense, moistness to these bars too. If you like banana bread but want to take things to the next level, bam! Here you go! These are so simple to make and so delicious that you’ll almost feel bad you didn’t spend all kinds of time making them. Almost.
The ingredients will all get mixed together, of course beginning with the creaming of the butter and sugar. Then add in everything else. When the mixture is creamy, you add in the mashed up bananas. You can use a fork to mash them or a potato masher. It’s pretty easy to do. Once these cool, you can make the frosting. You can adjust the consistency to your liking very easily by tinkering with the confectioners’ sugar. Just add more very slowly to be sure you have it where you want it. Then frost away! Because the frosting contains cream cheese, store these in the freezer…if you have any leftover that is!
