UNDER 10 INGREDIENTS!
Really, I am SUCH a fan of recipes with a short list of ingredients. It’s less likely I’ll forget something. Don’t you just hate that? You get everything ready to go and you start putting something together only to realize that you are indeed out of something. And as I said before, these are simple, likely because the Amish lead a simple life that honestly looks incredibly refreshing compared to my often hectic life.
What’s different from the other Amish sugar cookie recipe that I shared is that this one off the bat has vegetable oil in it. The other recipe called for shortening. The difference to me is a lighter, more melt-in-your-mouth cookie. I was a big fan of this texture.
So with your 9 ingredients, you’ll mix everything up. Wet ingredients with wet. Dry with dry. Not hard. And this recipe doesn’t need any refrigerating first. So from mixing to baking, it will take you only 20 minutes until you’re done. Got 20 minutes to spare now? You are thisclose to having Amish sugar cookies in your kitchen!
I found this yummy recipe from the Taste of Home website. Click the link below to see the site and the full recipe for these Amish Sugar Cookies.
