A PERFECT POP OF CITRUS!
The greatest thing about this cake is the simplicity in it. And when you’re done, you’re left with this beautiful and delicious cake. Pound cakes never really got my heart pounding, but this one feels different with the burst of citrus. And the glaze on top just pulls it all together. Make sure you grease your bundt or tube pan really well. It will keep you from having problems popping this out when it’s done. It’s like most cakes as far as method goes, but when you’re adding the flour, you want to alternate it with the 7Up, beating in between to blend it all together.
The glaze also gets some 7Up in it but much of it is up to you as far as consistency goes. Slowly add it in until you have the texture you desire and then your glaze is ready to go on your cake. While simple, it’s such a great cake to make for company. Especially a brunch or a casual dinner. The best part is that you’ll surprise people when you tell them it’s made with 7Up!
